Company Educational Services, LLC, (f/k/a, Company Educational Services, Inc. d/b/a Shemmassian Academic Consulting) (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) understand your concerns with regard to how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will use and share information about you carefully and sensibly.

This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) applies to information about you collected when you interact with our website at https://www.shemmassianconsulting.com/ and its subpages (the “Site”) and when you access, use, interact with or purchase our products, services, information, or content through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy describes what information we collect about you in relation to your use of the Site and the Services, how we collect it, how we use it, with whom we may share it, and what choices you have regarding it. Please be aware that additional terms and conditions, including the Terms and Conditions of Service Agreement for all tutoring, advising and application services; our Website Content License Agreement that applies to all subscription services, and our Licensing and Terms of Service that apply to our video courses to the use of the Site, the Services, and digital products.

By registering an account with us or otherwise accessing or using the Site or the Services, you agree that you have read and understand this Policy and that you accept and consent to the privacy practices (and any uses and disclosures of information about you) that are described in this Policy.

Collection of Your Personal Information

Information you provide to us. We collect the information you provide directly to us when you register an account, purchase or request any Services, submit documents, content, or other information to the Site, fill out a registration or other form, complete a survey, request information, send us an inquiry or other communication, or otherwise interact with us or the Site or the Services. This information may include:

  • Education background and related information

  • Resume

  • Account information (including password and account settings)

  • Financial payment information

  • Any other information regarding your utilization of the Site and the Services

Information we collect automatically. We may collect information that is collected automatically as you use and navigate the Site, including information collected through cookies, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies. This information may include usage details, email address, IP address, the identity of your Internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit (and the number of your visits), the pages you visit, the length of your visit, average time spent, and the websites you visit before coming to and after leaving the Site. The information we receive may depend on your browser or device settings. Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from our third-party service, affiliates, customers, and partners, including our marketing, conference, and advertising partners and social media networks. For example, we receive information on our email campaigns from our third-party service providers, including whether you have read an email sent by us or on our behalf, forwarded an email, and when and how many times you have opened an email. We may also receive information from third-party analytics on the Website that allows us to improve our Website. We may also collect information about you from publicly available sources.

Your Choices

We offer certain choices about how we communicate with you and what information we obtain about you and share with others.

Account. If you have registered an account on the Site, you can update, modify, or delete certain of your account information and preferences after you log into your account using the features and functionalities available there. You may also contact us at the email address below for assistance in updating, modifying, or deleting any of your information.

Email Preferences. You may opt out from receiving future promotional or informational emails from us by following the instructions for unsubscribing in the emails we send to you or by contacting us at the email address below. However, you cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your account registration or other transactions with us.

Do Not Track. While we take reasonable steps to protect the privacy of our Site visitors, we cannot promise that the current limitations of our online applications’ programming will address every browser setting or honor every personal browser preference. In particular, we have not implemented the necessary program changes to honor “Do Not Track” or “DNT” browser signals. As our online applications programming is refined, we will take reasonable steps to honor such requests in the future. Please return to this Policy for further updates on this topic.

Use of Tracking Technologies 

Company uses cookies and other tracking technologies on the Site to help us provide better customer service, enhance the user experience, and deliver personalized content. A “cookie” is a small text file stored locally in the computer used to access the Site. A cookie contains information relating to your past use of the Site. Many improvements and updates to the Site are based on the data collected through cookies, such as total number of visitors and pages viewed. For example, our Site includes cookies used by Google Analytics and Squarespace.

Location of the Site

The Site is hosted and operated in the United States. The Site and the Services are not intended for visitors from outside of the United States. Users from jurisdictions outside the United States visit us at their own choice and risk.

If you are not a resident of the United States, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your personal information outside your home jurisdiction, and that we may store your personal information in the United States or elsewhere. Please note that the level of legal protection provided in the United States from which you may access the Site may not be as stringent as that under privacy standards or the privacy laws of other countries, possibly including your home jurisdiction.

We will keep your information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, and until your account is terminated or you ask us to delete your information.

We may provide links to external third-party sites as a convenience to you. The inclusion of any link does not imply Company’s endorsement of the external site company, its website, or its products or services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or reliability of the information on third-party sites. You access such links at your own risk. We recommend you read the privacy policy of a website to determine what information they collect and how your information may be used before disclosing any of your information.

Security

We have implemented reasonable physical, technical, and organizational security standards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. While we strive to protect your personal information through the use of security technologies and procedures, no system or procedures are entirely secure or failsafe, and we cannot and do not guarantee the security of your information. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal information when you are on the internet.

Children Under the Age of 16 

The Site and the Services are not intended for use by children under 16 years of age (“Minor Child”). We do not knowingly collect information from a Minor Child. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on the Site or the Services or on or through any of the features, including your name or email address. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a Minor Child without parental consent, we will delete that information. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to, modify, add, or remove portions of this Policy at any time. If we update or change this Policy, the changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site and the Services following the effective date of any change signifies your assent to the updated Policy.
